Dividing his time between Paris and Berlin, Mikix The Cat (Mike Gnacadja) takes his inspiration from ‘anywhere I can find it’. He was drawn into the orbit of his hip hop-loving brother, picked up an influence or two from the electronic dance music blaring out his sister’s stereo and was musically nurtured by his mother with all the major classical and African sounds. His Last EP ‘The Key’ comes with a killer combo of remixes – first you get the banging electrohouse twist of Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, known separately as the French party pranksters Teki Latex and DJ Orgasmic. Second, Kingdom deliver their super charged New York R&B-infested vibe to great effect.
