Yasmine Hamdan in New York
Yasmine Hamdan, who, as CNN said is “capturing a changing Arab world,” will perform on March 23rd at Littlefield in Brooklyn. She just shared the song “Douss” via the Utne Reader. “Douss” comes from Hamdan’s forthcoming Ipecac Recordings’ (under license from Crammed Discs) debut, Al Jamilat, available March 31. Co-produced by Hamdan, Luke Smith (Foals, Depeche Mode, Lily Allen) and Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Carl Barat), Al Jamilat also features guest musicians Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth) and Shahzad Ismaily (Laurie Anderson, Loud Reed, John Zorn).
Yasmine will perform a special show at Littlefield in Brooklyn on March 23rd.
