Feist to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago!
The initial lineup for the 2012 Pitchfork Music Festival has been announced! Feist is among the artists selected to perform during the festival, which will be held July 13th-15th at Chicago’s Union Park. Feist’s latest album Metals became her first album to chart in the top 10 in the United States, entering the Billboard charts at #7. Her upcoming spring 2012 tour dates are listed below.
In its seventh year, the festival has become a proven staple in the summer festival circuit and most recently expanded to include a Paris edition this past October. The Pitchfork Music Festival draws 50,000 people from throughout the world and assists in promoting the Chicago arts community, where Pitchfork is based. Feist and bureauexport have collaborated in the past around her 2005 album Let It Die. In the United States, Feist received bureauexport‘s assistance opening on several tour dates during spring 2005 in addition to performing at SXSW around the album. She also received bureauexport‘s support behind her May, June, and July 2005 tour dates.
