Ibeyi Interviewed in The New York Times

Ibeyi, will release their debut album on February 17th (XL Recordings). They are also preparing a tour in the US with a stop at Austin’s SXSW festival in March and were just interviewed by The New York Times.

During the interview, Naomi says how the two French-Cuban twin sisters decided to realize an album together:

“I said we’re doing this with only the two of us, with electronic sounds and hip-hop beats. At the end, we were in the same way of thinking. I’m more tough. She’s more calm. It was a balance between my world and her world.”
