New Yann Tiersen Video With Clémence Poésy, More Tour Dates Announced

The new video for Yann Tiersen’s “Meteorites” features French model and actress Clémence Poésy, who will be familiar to American audiences for her roles in Gossip Girl, The Harry Potter film series, In Bruges, and 127 Hours (among others). Yann Tiersen, who composed the world-renowned score for the equally acclaimed film Amélie, has since continued through a remarkable career of constant musical reinvention.

The black-and-white video featuring smoky spoken word (Aidan Moffat‘s lyrics) over thick harmony, is fittingly mystical and atmospheric for the album that Paste Magazine calls “an impressionistic canvas topped with moments both dissonant and beautiful” . 

Yann has been busy touring in 2014 promoting his latest album Infinity. Tour dates included a two night capacity crowd at New York’s Highline Ballroom, the “Midsummer Cycling Tour” – a unique cycling and signing tour across Brittany (footage here), and these dates which have just been announced.
