The band and its music are an odyssey that doesn’t just put you in a different state or country, but instead it rearranges the state that you thought you were in and it catapults you out into the Milky Way galaxy, to reaches where you’ll never get cell phone reception and you’re dodging space junk left and right. – Daytrotter
MAY 31, 2013 – LOS ANGELES, CA – French trio, Chateau Marmont, are gearing up to release the band’s forthcoming EP, “Wind Blows,” June 11th. In support of the North American EP, the band will also be hitting up New York for several shows throughout release week including special event shows as part of North Side Festival and New Music Seminar.
Though the band shares the same name as the legendary hotel in Los Angeles, the group has steadily been building a name for themselves since the mid 2000’s releasing two EPs (Solar Apex [2008] andNibiru [2012]) which tracks have received rave reviews from the likes of The Fader, XLR8R, andDaytrotter. The group (Guillaume De Maria, Julien Galner and Raphaël Vialla) combines each members’ concise and fine tuned skill sets to create atmospheric tracks that meld French pop, synthetic landscapes and cinematic builds. Furthermore, the group has been recruited to remix heavy hitters such as La Roux, Royksopp, Midnight Juggernauts, and Peter, Bjorn & John – just to name a few.
A full schedule of Chateau Marmont’s New York shows can be found below along with the “Wind Blows” EP track listing.
