Benjamin Clementine to Release Album in 2015
“Basquiat did what he wanted to do,” says Clementine with a shrug. “So do I.”
Benjamine Clementine, a singer-songwriter whose raw, truthful energy led him from performing in the Paris metro to a record deal with Universal Music France and global acclaim will release his debut album in early 2015.
The LP, ‘At Least for Now’ is due for release in January 2015.
Described by famed English punk-rocker Andy Gill as “one of 2014’s most promising new talents” (Clementine grew up in North London), his spare voice and piano sound is often likened to a cross between that of Nina Simone and Antony Hegarty. Rolling Stone also named Clementine one of the “10 Artists to Know in 2014“.
